Chocolate Chip Cookies.
Otherwise known as "Mrs. Russell Cookies," "Julie's Mom's Cookies," "Julie Russell Cookies," "Cookie Bars," "Cookie Brownies," but I just call 'em good!
Best Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe, hands down. I used to pay for rides in high school with a batch of mama's fresh chocolate chip cookies, that's how good they are. There's a whole history behind these beauties, too. So many stories of happy faces and fully bellies.
I brought a batch of these to my husband and his crew the other day. My husband is a pyro technician and they are working hard setting up for the 4th of July festivities around the DFW area this week. Thought they could use a pick-me-up after so many days of outdoor work.
His younger brother, Ethan, is working with him and looked like he was going to cry when I showed him the box of fresh baked cookies. I'd weep over a hot chocolate chip cookie, too. There's nothing like 'em, especially if it's this recipe of cookie bars; I'd cross oceans to have one of these.
These little guys don't take too long to bake up, they're actually pretty quick!. Once the dough is made, slather it on a cookie sheet, no rolling necessary, bake 'em up, slice 'em, and enjoy! Or share, that's actually my favorite part, getting to share with those you love.
If you're looking for a treat to bring to the family BBQ tomorrow, whip up a batch and add some red, white, and blue sprinkles. You'll be the hit of the party, I promise! Download the recipe here!
